Why is Hank Haney's Golf Instructor Training Program different from other certification Programs?

Our Golf Instructor Training and Certification Program is different because it first, contains the ways, means, techniques and tournament tested and proven golf teaching methods of Hank Haney whose students have won every major tournament, and second because we have created a support team and system that will guarantee that you have all the tools needed to start, market, and operate your own successful teaching business.

Do you have to be a Member of the PGA in order to go through the Certification Process?

No, you do not have to be a Member of the PGA to participate in the Hank Haney Pro Certification Program. 

Does the HHPRO Certification Program require the purchase of equipment or material over and above what is provided in the program?

Yes, you will need a computer which contains a video capture, play and duplicate capability, and a video camera that will interface with the computer. The camera will also need a tripod. These are essentials for not only the program, but for teaching as well. 

Is there a Players Ability Test that is included as part of the Hank Haney Pro Certification?

There is currently no Players Ability Test requirement for the first three levels of The Hank Haney Pro Certification. 

What are the qualifications necessary to enter into the program?

There are no pre-qualifications necessary to enter the program. Beginner level instructors as well as advanced teachers will benefit from the Hank Haney Pro Certification process. 

What if I don't pass the written test at my level?

Should you not pass a Certification Level final test, a retake of the final test will be granted if your request is within 60 days of receiving your failing test score. It must be noted that a $75.00 per exam retake fee will be charged.

How long does it take to complete each level?

Each level is designed as a comprehensive training and testing program to help teaching professional improve their overall knowledge of Hank's methods and advanced Instructional skills. While it is self paced, Levels should take between 1 to 4 months to complete. NOTE: You must pass each Levels testing and presentation requirements to advance to the next Levels. Once you have passed a Level and received your Certification there is no waiting period between Levels 1, 2 and 3...to apply for Level 4 Master Instructor Certification, you must have been a Level 3 Instructor in good standing for a minimum of 12 months. 

How much support and content is there online for people who successfully pass level 1?

Members will have access to the PRO Instructor website which contains a vast quantity of golf instruction content all of which will improve your teaching abilities. 

What is the Hank Haney PRO Registration Cancellation and Return Policy?

As a purchaser of any Level of the Hank Haney PRO Certification Program(s)it is incumbent upon you to realize that the intellectual property and propriety nature of the information contained within our program(s) is provided to you for the sole purpose of instructing you in the methods and means of golf instruction developed and perfected by Hank Haney. As such, once you have executed a purchase agreement, either by phone, the web, or mail and the requested information, either in the form of booklets, web site access/downloads or DVDs, has been provided to you, our contractual obligation is complete and no refund of the purchase price, for any reason, will be made. This policy is non-negotiable and is considered to be agreed upon by the buyer at the time of purchase. The return of all or any portion of purchased material will not alter this policy. 

Is there an ongoing fee to be a Hank Haney Associate Instructor?

The purchase of any certification level includes a one year membership as a Hank Haney Associate Instructor. This one year membership is automatically renewed at the time of purchase of subsequent levels. Should you wish to continue your membership after the end of the year, without the purchase of additional levels, the annual fee is $149.99. The membership includes all web content and support documents, ongoing web tips, videos and technology reviews, your Instructor Locator listings and/or Instructor Profile web page on Hank Haney web sites. As well as the use of the Hank Haney PRO Associate Logo. 

Is it possible to start the Certification program at any level?

No, everyone must begin at Level 1. All levels are progressive and follow each other sequentially. Level 1 is the foundation of the program and contains the fundamentals necessary for completion of all subsequent instruction.

Are the Exams for each level online?

Yes, the Exams for Level 1, 2, & 3 are can be completed online.

Are the Exams for each Level timed?

No, the exams for each level aren't timed. The testing can be completed at your own pace. 

When do you get listed on the Instructor Locator?

You will be listed on the Instructor Locator once you have purchased Level 1, you will be listed as "In Training" until you pass Level 1. Once you have passed Level 1 you will then be considered a Level 1 Associate Instructor.
